Supervision documents/materials

This is where I'll add important information about supervision, including materials and relevant articles.

In the "File Share" section you'll find some EPPP study materials. I hold no responsibility for their content! These have been gathered and developed by different people, and have been deemed useful by individuals who've passed the exam.

Parallel Process

When I learned about this in my supervision course, I was doubtful about it. Then I started noticing that every now and then I'd feel some transference when a supervisee was describing a client - usually one they're frustrated with. I would end up feeling frustrated too.

This article describes the phenomenon well and links to a great journal article by a U of A professor that further establishes the mechanisms by which parallel processes occur and ideas about how to manage them in supervision practices.
